FIRE-AID INTERNATIONAL

TURKS AND CAICOS CIVIL AVIATION DEPARTMENT

A pair of Bedford water tenders and a Bedford rescue tender were supplied to the Turks and Caicos Islands Civil Aviation department which is responsible for the fire cover throughout the islands. Fire-Aid International co-ordinated the transportation of the vehicles from the West Yorkshire Fire Service to the Port of Felixstowe, UK and the shipping to the Caribbean, via Port Everglade and the Port of Palm Beach in Florida, USA, was arranged by Oceanlink Limited in conjunction with P&O Containers Europe (now P&O Nedlloyd Global Logistics).
 

1985 Bedford TKG / Angloco water tender ladder C854 GCX which served with West Yorkshire at Bingley and Mytholmroyd photographed at Felixstowe Fire Station, Suffolk. It is carrying a spare 35' Bayley ladder on top of the 45' Lacon; this ladder is for identical 1984 Bedford TKG / Angloco water tender
B972 TVH which served at Wetherby and Normanton.

1986 Bedford TL750 / HCB-Angus rescue / emergency tender D154 SCX which served with West Yorkshire at Halifax and Bingley photographed at Felixstowe Fire Station, Suffolk. It is now on the run in Providenciales, TCI.
