FIRE-AID INTERNATIONAL

MALTA
 
Fire-Aid International has, on a commercial basis, provided a fire appliance and a pair of ambulances to three different organisations in Malta in the Mediterranean. A Bedford water tender was supplied to the International Fire and Safety Training School whilst Ford Transit ambulances went to the St John Ambulance and the Secretariat for the Elderly.


1984 Bedford TK 1250 / HCB-Angus water tender ladder B646 VUD supplied by Fire-Aid International to the International Fire and Safety Training School at Hal-Far, Malta in 1996. New to the Oxfordshire Fire Service, it served at Didcot and then Bicester. The school has now closed down and it is thought that the appliance has been taken into the Malta Fire Service fleet.


1988 Ford Transit 160 / Wadham ambulance E916 PJT which was refurbished and supplied by Fire-Aid International to the St John Ambulance at Valetta, Malta in 1997. It was part of the Dorset Ambulance Service fleet as was sister vehicle E919 PJT, refurbished and supplied to the Secretariat for the Elderly, St Venera, Malta in 1998. Part of the funding for these vehicles came from the British High Commission in Malta.
